Former Pakistani captain Javed Miandad brutally attacked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) over their current stance on the ongoing row over Asia Cup 2023. Having earlier clarified that Team India would not travel to Pakistan for the tournament, BCCI has insisted on a change in venue for the event as well. And as per latest report, Pakistan is unlikely to host Asia Cup, although they might retain the hosting rights with the venue to be finalised in March. However, India legend Venkatesh Prasad has come up with a fiery response to Miandad's remark on BCCI.

In reaction to the reports circulating after the ACC meeting in Bahrain on Saturday, Miandad called for a strict action from the International Cricket Council (ICC) on BCCI.

“India can go to hell if they don’t want to come to Pakistan to play cricket (Maine toh pehle bhi kaha tha agar nahi aana to bhaad mein jaaye. Humein koi farak nahi padta),” Miandad reckoned at a public event. “I’ve always backed Pakistan. And you know that I don’t leave spare India whenever an issue arises. But the thing is we need to look at our part. And we should fight for it. We don’t care because we are getting to host our cricket. This is ICC’s job. If ICC can’t control this there’s no use of the governing body. They need to implement similar rules for every team. If teams like these don’t come, they should be debarred. (India hoga, apne liye hoga. Hamare liye nahi hai)," he added.

In reply to a news article in Miandad's statement on BCCI, Prasad took to Twitter to give a fiery reply saying, "But they are refusing to go to hell."

According to reports, PCB now want 2023 ODI World Cup to be taken out of India. The final decision will however be taken next month when the heads of the two boards will meet again for an ICC and ACC meeting.
