Watch: Babar Azam, Sarfaraz Ahmed's hilarious argument over caught behind decision

Babar Azam and Sarfaraz Ahmed shared a hilarious little moment with each other from across the field during New Zealand's innings in the second Test.

Sarfaraz Ahmed has made a rather sensational comeback to Test cricket. He replaced an out of form Mohammed Rizwan for the first Test against New Zealand and scored 86 and 53. In the second Test, he has scored 78 runs in Pakistan's first innings.

Babar and Sarfaraz had a hilarious moment on the field

Sarfaraz has also been typically active behind the stumps. The former captain, under whom current skipper Babar Azam had made his T20I debut in 2016 and the two seem to share a great chemistry. While the biggest example of that was a 196-run partnership the two shared in the first Test, which not just saved Pakistan from falling for a paltry total but put them in the advantage as well, another instance could be seen when they had a brief and hilarious argument over a DRS call.

The incident happened on Day 2 of the ongoing second Test. Fast bowler Mir Hamza bowled to New Zealand captain Tim Southee. The latter had a waft at it and the ball was claimed by Sarfaraz behind the stumps. Sarfaraz had dived forward and there was a half appeal for a catch.

Sarfaraz then seemed to almost mockingly say that there was a noise despite the ball having fallen just short for him. “Yeh Aee thi awaz (There was a sound)," he can be seen saying in the footage of the match while waving the ball and looking in Babar's direction. Babar looks at him with a wide smile before saying, “Lakin aage gir gya hai (But it has fallen short)”. Sarfaraz continues to wave his left hand while smiling after throwing the ball away.

New Zealand were all out for 449 with opener Devon Conway scoring 122. Saud Shakeel has led Pakistan's response, batting on 122 off 336 balls at stumps on Day 3 and the hosts were 407/9.
