According to the police, investigators are probing the matter as a possible suicide case as well due to the nature of the gunshot wound.
A 30-year-old man was found dead with a gunshot wound to his chest at his home in north Delhi’s Mukundpur on Saturday afternoon.

A case of murder under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code was registered at the Bhalswa Dairy police station. Police identified the deceased as one Suresh, an alleged bootlegger.
The incident came to light around 2pm on Saturday when Suresh’s brother-in-law visited his home to check on him. He found the deceased bleeding on the sofa and rushed him to a hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
According to the police, investigators are probing the matter as a possible suicide case as well due to the nature of the gunshot wound.
“The gunshot, which is on the left side of the chest of the man, seemed to have been fired from a very close range, something that is usually seen in suicide cases,” Anil Kumar Lall, additional deputy commissioner (north-west), said. However, no gun was found at the crime scene, the officer added.
The police said that some suspects have been detained for questioning but are yet to make a breakthrough in the case.
