When the woman demanded that he return Rs 1 lakh he had borrowed, he stabbed her. “We have arrested the man and have lodged an FIR against him on the basis of the complaint filed by the woman’s husband,” Atish Kumar Singh, circle officer (city II), said. On the basis of the complaint filed by the woman’s husband, police registered a case under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
