DDA hands over 52 parking sites to MCDs
NEW DELHI: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has handed over more than 50 parkings to the three municipal corporations in the city.
Municipal officials said that new parkings will not only help increase the revenue of the corporations, but also streamline the parkings in the city.
As per details, the DDA has handed over a total of 52 parking sites to the three municipal corporations, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has been the biggest gainer.
“The SDMC will get a total of 28 parkings, whereas the North and East Delhi corporations will receive 13 and 11 sites respectively,” said a municipal corporation.
Sources said that each parking site potentially stands to earn Rs 1 crore annually for the corporations.
Currently, the municipal corporations have 229 parking sites including the multi-level parkings.
