NEW DELHI: Delhi government is launching a fellowship programme. Fifty-four fellows will be selected from a wide range of academic and professional disciplines to work with the State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT).

The government will select the fellows under the age of 35 to work towards transforming governance and education scenario in Delhi.

“Change-makers in Education Fellows programme aims to attract outstanding young men and women from all over the country, under the age of 35 to work in SCERT for two years,” officials said.

Officials said the fellowship programme would meet the immediate needs of the SCERT and the Department of Education. It will also provide a rare capacity-building opportunity for the youth, and create a pipeline of change agents for education.

The council of ministers on June 24 gave its approval for the appointment of 54 fellows with a stipend of ` 40,000 per month for a period of 12 months (extendable to two years).
