NEW DELHI: Four days after a 28-year-old salesman was beaten up and shot dead by seven men at a market in south Delhi’s Ambedkar Nagar, the police have arrested three men.

Four other suspects are still untraceable, police said on Saturday.

Those arrested were identified as Shivam, Vishal, and Johnson. Police had earlier suspected it to be a road rage case but it could be a murder due to personal enmity.

The salesman, identified as Aman, was shot thrice after being beaten over a minor issue. His Alto car had hit a vegetable cart at the J-block market while he was returning home after work.

An argument broke out between Aman and some men who accused him of rash driving. A CCTV at a nearby shop captured the crime. The footage shows Aman parking his car near a food stall and getting into an argument with the men.

Investigation shows that some days ago, Aman and his brother had an argument with Shivam.
