The south zone of the civic agency demolished properties in Malviya Nagar, Mehrauli, Chhattarpur, Lado Sarai, Said-ul-Ajaib among others.
"A number of property owners had carried out illegal construction, thinking that due to government holidays, we will not take any action against them. But soon after the holidays were over, we decided to take action. We are only going to intensify our demolition drive and are not going to spare anyone," said a senior MCD official.
