A total of 105 CCTVs will be installed across the route of Republic Day parade -- Rajpath to Red Fort -- to
ensure that "every inch is under watch", a senior police official said.

"All cameras will have Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ and day/night colour zoom lens. The system will have a digital
video recorder as well," the official said.

Over 40 CCTVs will be installed near Rajpath from where President Pratibha Patil and Prime Minister Manmohan
Singh along with others watch the magnificent parade.

The CCTVs will be installed to cover all entry points, Saluting Base. "A doctor will also have access to the visuals
who will monitor the VVIPs for emergency support," the official said.

While 22 cameras will be installed between Janpath and C-Hexagon of India Gate, 11 cameras will be installed around
Vijay Chowk. Another six CCTVs will be installed around India Gate, the war memorial.

The major part of the parade will be passing through Central District. On the route, 40 CCTVs are installed. In
Central Delhi, the parade passes from Tilak Bridge to the border of North District.
