17-year-old abducted, gangraped in Nangloi

A 17-year-old girl was kidnapped from outside her house in west Delhi’s Nangloi area and gang-raped by three men on Friday. Following a complaint by the girl on Sunday, the accused, who were her neighbours, have been arrested.

According to the police, the girl had gone for a walk near her house after dinner on Friday night. A few metres away from her house, three men in a car kidnapped her and took her to an isolated place. “There they took turns to rape her and then dumped her in front of the house. The girl informed her family members who informed the police. Medical examination of the girl confirmed rape,” a senior police officer said.

Anwar, 30, a property dealer, Sandeep, 32, a mobile shop owner, and Anish, 35, a guard, have been arrested. Police also recovered the car in which the accused kidnapped the girl. Incidents of rape continue to rise in the Capital.
