Two people have been arrested in connection with a robbery in south Delhi's CR Park during which an elderly woman was held hostage recently.

Naba Kumar Das and Mritunjay were arrested along the jeweller, Ramzan Ali, who received the stolen gold.

Archana Chakraborty, the wife of a retired civil service officer, was found with her legs and hands tied on October 9. She later said two men had come to her home at 2.45am and overpowered her.

"Mritunjay has been working as a driver in the area for the past seven years. Das's girlfriend had earlier worked at Chakraborty's home as a domestic help. It was she who had given information about the cash and jewellery," Ajay Chaudhry, additional commissioner of police (southeast), said.

The duo had barged into her house after breaking the glass pane of the main door.
