Raza Ahamad (23), who allegedly supplies fake currency, and Gyan (38) who received the fake currency, were apprehended from Rohini Sector-10 around 7am, BS Jaiswal, deputy commissioner of police (outer), said. “Gyan brought Rs 30,000 and gave it to Ahamad in lieu of fake currency. On checking the forged currency notes, about 29 notes were of the same serial number,” Jaiswal said.

Gyan was in jail on charge of killing his wife for dowry. “He met one Waseem Ahamad in jail. He told Gyan that if he want to make money, he should contact his younger brother Raza Ahamad,” Jaiswal said.
