A duo was held for abducting two men from southeast Delhi’s Jaitpur even as the police are still searching for three of the gang’s associates.

Ajay Chaudhary, additional commissioner of police (southeast) said Jaipal Singh, 33 and his associate Deepak, 21, had demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh from the victims’ families.

“On October 25, Singh had abducted Asad Sheikh from Khadar and made a ransom call to his uncle,” Chaudhary said. Singh was arrested from Gurgaon. “During interrogation, he revealed that the gang had abducted one of Sheikh’s associates, Parvez, who too has been rescued,” Chaudhary added.
