A 21-year-old man was allegedly stabbed by his wife’s cousins in Noida on Friday. According to the police, the victim, Arun Choudhary and his wife got married against the wishes of her family two months ago.

“Later, the bride was forcibly taken home by her parents and since then Choudhary has been receiving threats from his wife’s brothers and cousins,” BK Srivastava, deputy superintendent of police.

Around 10am on Friday, Choudhary was admitted to the Kailash Hospital with stab wounds. Saroj Jha, a worker at a construction site nearby, noticed the injured and informed the police.

“Around 8.45am, I saw a man in a car near GIP gate number 5. He was unconscious and lying in a pool of blood. I called my colleague and through his phone informed the police,” Jha said. Choudhary’s condition was said to be stable till Friday evening.
