All the arrested are women, who belong to two countries — three from Uzbekistan and two from Kyrgystan, a senior police official said. One of the Uzbek nationals is the pimp.

"We received an input regarding a call girl racket involving foreign nationals being run in Lajpat Nagar. The mobile number of the pimp was procured. A decoy contacted the pimp and yesterday they agreed to meet in Lajpat Nagar-I," a senior police official said.

The pimp demanded R25-30,000 from the decoy but a deal was struck and part payment of 5,000 was made, the official said.

"The pimp then took the decoy inside the premises. A raid was conducted and four girls and the lady pimp were apprehended. The girls are all in their early twenties," he said.

The pimp was in India for the last over two years. She has operated in different areas of NCR, shifting her base frequently to avoid detection and putting up at a rented accommodation in Lajpat Nagar-I for the past four months.

"The accommodation costs her more than R28,000 per month. Some of the girls stay with her and some in another rented accommodation at Jungpura which again cost them R25,000 per month. Their earnings on an average per person is in lakh," the official said.
