Work of painting has already begun in the basement of all the buildings at the Commonwealth Games Village near Akshardham temple.

Officials said it will gradually cover buildings in other sensitive Games areas from where mosquito breeding is reported.

"More than 100 workers have already started the painting work and we should finish it in the next couple of weeks," said Dr V.K. Monga, chairman of the public health committee, MCD.
