Lal said: “If the allegations are found true, an FIR will be filed both against the kidnappers as well the policemen, who were on duty. If needed, departmental proceedings will be initiated against the policemen.”

On Friday night, Sharma on bike was chased by a group of people in a Tavera car, with the intent of ‘abduction’. He drove towards a police chowki to seek refuge, but the men caught hold of him. They allegedly forced him in the car and sped past.

On Sunday, the police found him in Rishikesh. After returning to Noida, Sharma submitted a complaint, seeking action against officials of sector 39 police station, under whose jurisdiction the chowki falls.
