A property dealer, accused of murdering Delhi Police ACP Rajbir Singh, was remanded in judicial custody till July 30 by a court in Ambala.
Vijay Bhardwaj was brought under tight security from Gurgaon and produced in the court of CBI Magistrate Abdul Majid.
His counsel filed an application in court requesting security be provided to him as it was a high-profile case.
ACP Rajbir Singh was shot dead in the office of property dealer Bhardwaj at Gurgaon on March 24. The investigation into the case was handed over to the CBI by the Gurgaon Police.
CBI officials did not allow the media to speak to Bhardwaj.
