Delhi Police have arrested three persons, including a woman for cheating a senior officer of Rajya Sabha on the pretext of providing domestic help to him.
Delhi Police have arrested three persons, including a woman for cheating a senior officer of Rajya Sabha on the pretext of providing domestic help to him. Rajya Sabha Secretary General VK Agnihotri had filed a complaint with the Tilak Marg police station last week.
In his complaint, Agnihotri told police that he had contacted a placement agency in north Delhi's Haiderpur a month ago and paid them Rs. 16,000 for providing a domestic help. But the help, Saraswati, ran away within 24 hours. The arrested persons, Mohammed Ubaid, 35, Mohammed Sanaullah, 28 and Sarsawati, 25, told the police that they had asked Saraswati to escape so that they could place her at some other household and earn extra money.
Saraswati was arrested from a businessman's house in Janakpuri.
