Aware that former president Bill Clinton, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and even their daughter Chelsea all had platters named after them at the ITC Maurya’s Indian restaurant Bukhara, during their stay at the hotel in Delhi, Obama last June had expressed the desire to have a platter named after him too.

With Obama also deciding to stay at the Maurya during his Delhi visit on November 8, sources confirmed plans to create a platter in his name.

The platter’s contents are still being finalized, though sources said meat will be a major item. The hotel is trying to find out what kind of dishes Obama likes, which will be integrated into Bukhara’s frontier menu.

The Hillary platter, for instance, comprises murgh malai kabab, seekh kabab, paneer tikka, tandoori aloo, sikandari raan, dal bukhara, tandoori jinga, mixed raita, naan and kulfi.
