Political career: Bhardwaj jumped into politics as a student in 1985. He rose from the ranks and became the leader of the student wing of the Congress. He first contested election in 2003 and won by a margin of over 11,000 votes.
Family: Bhardwaj is a bachelor and lives with his parents. “I got so engrossed in students’ movement and political life that the thought of marriage never occurred to me. My parents are now looking for a match for me and I may tie the knot soon,” said Bhardwaj. A sports buff, he loves watching English Premier League football. “I am hooked to the premier league. Man U is my favourite team,” he said. Bhardwaj also likes to play cricket and badminton.
Cars: Bhardwaj claims he does not have a car. “Sometimes I drive the Maruti 800 that my family owns.
