Apollo hospitals set record
With successful transplantion of 58-year-old Ranbir Singh’s liver a month ago in the Capital, Apollo hospitals group has performed the highest number of solid organ transplantations in India.

With successful transplantion of 58-year-old Ranbir Singh’s liver a month ago in the Capital, Apollo hospitals group has performed the highest number of solid organ transplantations in India.
It has performed 534 transplants this year, including a liver transplant of 19-month-old Cambodian child three months ago. “We have great doctors and great infrastructure, but what we don’t have is enough cadaver donors,” said Dr Prathap C Reddy, chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group.
