Singh had said on Sunday: “The situation (in J&K) has been brought to a particular level when other initiatives should have started to make way for betterment".
The party said military commanders should give their advice to the government "discreetly and privately".
But, backing Singh’s observation, BJP general secretary Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "The Government of India needs to introspect. BJP wants to know what is the policy of the government for Kashmir. How long will the polity of experimentation and knee-jerk reactions continue?”
