Beijing says yes to defence meet

Despite the indefinite postponement of an India-China special representative meet over the Dalai Lama controversy, Beijing agreed to hold a high-level defence dialogue with New Delhi on December 8-9.

Despite the indefinite postponement of an India-China special representative meet over the Dalai Lama controversy, Beijing agreed to hold a high-level defence dialogue with New Delhi on December 8-9.

Boundary talks between the two countries, which were supposed to begin on Monday, were postponed at the last minute after India said no to China’s request to prevent Dalai Lama from addressing a Buddhist convention in the Capital next week.
