Naidu said the BJP welcomed the move, but wanted the Congress and the Centre to take Parliament into confidence since it was in session.

He said the Congress took the decision on the formation of Telangana after being compelled by circumstances. “The Congress has not done enough homework and failed to even take its own MPs and MLAs into confidence.”

Asked if the BJP supported the demand that Hyderabad should be a part of Telangana, Naidu said, “When the central government will bring the bill, we will react.” Later, he endorsed BJP spokesperson Prakash Javdekar’s view that Hyderabad should be part of Telangana.
