BJP demands dismissal of Delhi Minister

The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded immediate convening of assembly session. In his statement, leader of the opposition in the assembly Vijay Kumar Malhotra said members wanted to discuss the worsening law and order situation in the city, delay in preparation for the Commonwealth Games, flooding of various parts of the city, among other issues.

In his statement, leader of the opposition in the assembly Vijay Kumar Malhotra said members wanted to discuss the worsening law and order situation in the city, delay in preparation for the Commonwealth Games, flooding of various parts of the city, among other issues.

Meanwhile, the BJP, on Monday, demanded the dismissal of a Delhi Minister, accusing him of trying to protect a leading resort in an alleged tax evasion case and demanding a probe into it.

A six-member delegation led by Delhi BJP chief Vijendra Gupta met Lt Governor Tejendra Khanna, demanded the minister’s dismissal and a thorough probe into the allegations of "financial bungling" by the resort.
