After its visit to Connaught Place, which is being renovated at a big scale, Delhi BJP president Vijendra Gupta said most of the development work would not meet the deadline and the government will have to cover it to save its face.

"Connaught Place is the main attraction of Delhi and no foreigner goes back without visiting it at least once. But this place will have to be kept away from the visitors. The NDMC has said it can only complete five of the eight subways. The remaining three will remain half done," said Gupta.

He said the government sho-uld have finished the renovation work at least a year ago. He said the BJP would bring out their own report on Games-related projects exactly two months before the event.
