With an eye at the Delhi assembly elections next year, the BJP has started getting big leaders to the routine functions of the municipal corporations.

With an eye at the Delhi assembly elections next year, the BJP has started getting big leaders to the routine functions of the municipal corporations. On Monday, the North Corporation brought in senior leader Venkaiah Naidu to distribute property mutation letters to 656 residents of Delhi. The residents had applied for mutation in a month long special drive launched by the property tax department of the civic body recently.

At the Gandhi Yajanti mela organised by the East Corporation on October 2, the corporation had invited national party president Natin Gadkari as the chief guest.

Sources say that big leaders will keep coming for the corporation functions in future as well in view of the assembly polls.
