Boost for city's industrial units: Gupta

Welcoming the union urban development ministry's directions to DDA for development of industrial areas, Ved Prakash Gupta, chairperson of MCD's Master Plan 2021 implementation committee, said on Wednesday that the benefits of the plan can be availed either by sub-division of big plots or amalgamation of small industrial plots into a big plot.

According to the plan, making the plot larger than 1,000 sq metres, after amalgamating small plots can yield a floor area ratio of 150. "The industrial areas of Delhi with big plots would benefit the most and more industrial units could be established," he said.
