Cameras to check garbage

The East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) will install Internet protocol (IP) cameras at its auto workshop at Dilshad Garden to ensure municipal waste end up at landfill sites instead of littering the streets.

The East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) will install Internet protocol (IP) cameras at its auto workshop at Dilshad Garden to ensure municipal waste end up at landfill sites instead of littering the streets.

The cameras will be placed strategically to ensure that trucks transport only garbage. It will be mandatory for the trucks to pass the workshop for them to get paid.

“IP cameras will be installed strategically at the entry and exit points. This will helps officials at the headquarters to monitor the movement of the garbage trucks,” said an official.
