CBI starts probe in Batcha murder

Almost three weeks after mysterious death of 2G scam suspect AM Sadique Batcha, the CBI has started probe into the reasons of his unnatural demise.

Almost three weeks after mysterious death of 2G scam suspect AM Sadique Batcha, the CBI has started probe into the reasons of his unnatural demise. Batcha was found hanging in his Chennai home on March 16.

Batcha was considered a close aide of former telecom minister A Raja, the prime accused in the scam. Investigators suspect a part of the scam bribe may have been routed through Batcha’s firm, Green House Promoters.

The CBI took over the investigation on Tuesday after the Supreme Court on Monday directed the government to issue a notification for the probe within three days.
