Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Minister of State in the PMO and Congress leader in charge of Jammu and Kashmir Prithviraj Chavan are among the central leaders who will be in Ladakh on Saturday to assess the havoc wreaked by the cloudburst.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh expressed grief over the loss of life and property. UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi also expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of lives due to flash floods in Leh.

The tragedy figured in the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha on Friday. Presiding officers Hamid Ansari and Meira Kumar condoled the loss of life and property.

A delegation from the state is expected to come to Delhi early next week to meet Singh over the violence in Srinagar. The PDP has said it will not be part of this delegation.

Sources said the Centre will hold an all-party meeting after interacting with local leaders.
