The 770 metre flyover has been built at a cost of Rs 210 crore. The flyover was thrown open for traffic last month. PWD Minister R K Chauhan, East Delhi MP Sandeep Dikshit were also present on the occasion.

"The flyover has been built as part of our efforts to enhance road infrastructure ahead of the Commonwealth Games. It will facilitate smooth flow of traffic between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh," the Chief Minister said.

Chauhan said the flyover will ensure smooth traffic movement on the NH 24 to Indirapuram and Ghazibad.
