The victim, identified as Chandra Sekhar Yadav, was strangled using a gas cylinder pipe. His parents were away for a wedding in Bihar.

The matter came to light around 11.20 pm after Yadav’s uncle made a call to the police.

“His uncle was calling him for dinner but to no response. He got worried and went to the house to see him and discovered his body,” said a senior police officer.

Yadav’s body has been sent for post mortem. A case of murder has been registered.

The preliminary investigation case has hinted the involvement of Yadav’s tenant Sonu, 22, who has been missing ever since the incident came to light.
