Class 9 student shot at northwest Delhi

A 16-year-old class 9 student of a government school was shot at by three assailants at his house in Bhalswa Dairy area in northwest Delhi on Monday night.

One of the bike-borne assailants, identified as Bablu, was nabbed by the local residents. The other two — Raju and Sanju — managed to escape leaving their motorcycle. Sanju was arrested later in the night.

The victim, Abhishek, stays at Shraddhanand Colony. On Monday night, the assailants came to his house and called him out. As soon as he came out of the house, one of them pointed a pistol at him. “Seeing this, the victim grabbed the weapon and in the process, got shot in his hand,” said a police official.
