Collapsed foot overbridge built by Hyderabad firm

The foot overbridge which collapsed today near the main Commonwealth Games venue, the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, was constructed by the Hyderabad -based PNR Infra, which was contracted by the Delhi government's Public Works Department.

The foot overbridge which collapsed on Tuesday near the main Commonwealth Games venue, the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, was constructed by the Hyderabad -based PNR Infra, which was contracted by the Delhi government's Public Works Department.

Delhi government's Public Works Department minister Raj Kumar Chauhan told IANS: "A rod was being rested on a grid but a clip slipped...resulting in the bridge collapsing."

"The bridge was constructed by Hyderabad based PNR Infra".
