The BJP was holding a training programme for its councillors at one of the meeting halls when Congress leaders Farhad Suri and Mukesh Goel spotted a few workers of RSS selling magazines and signing people up for membership outside the room.

Accusing the ruling BJP of misusing the government building for non-official purposes, the Congress leaders said they will hold demonstrations against it.

The duo has also complained to the municipal commissioner and demanded immediate action against the errant officials who allowed such activities in the Civic Centre.

Leader of House in North Corporation Dr Mahender Nagpal has, however, denied they were promoting RSS literature. "The BJP councillors wanted copies of the magazines and so we requested RSS members to come here and distribute them. They were only meant for the councillors," Nagpal added.
