While the BJP, which governs the three corporations, allege that the Congress is giving step-motherly treatment to the newly-created corporations, Congress claim the BJP was playing politics and misleading the people.

On July 17, Delhi BJP president Vijender Gupta wrote to CM Sheila Dikshit demanding funds for staff salaries and development work. In reply, Delhi urban development minister Ashok Walia had said the civic bodies had not sent the required proposals.
