Addressing a press conference, Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel said the Congress government has been repeating the same promises for the last 14 years and taking people for a ride.

"It is trying to play the same trick. The Congress promised in its 2003 manifesto that it will abolish Section 81 of Delhi Land Reforms Act. It also promised that the Lal Dora in villages will be extended. The same promises were made in 2008. The Congress government has lost its credibility," Goel said.

The Delhi cabinet is likely to clear the two proposals on Saturday morning and make the announcement public at "Grameen Vikas Sammelan' being organised by Congress's South Delhi MP Ramesh Kuma.

Goel said it was only after the BJP started raising the issues in its Kisan rallies earlier this year that the Congress government has again started talking about it.
