Shopowners of these markets, which were in existence before 1962 according to the Master Plan Delhi 2021, will not have to pay conversion and parking fees.

The markets are Jama Masjid, Chitli Kabbar, Bazar Sitaram, Ajmeri Gate, Chandni Chowk, Fatehpuri, Lajpat Rai Market, Kashmiri Gate, Mori Gate, Malka Ganj, Sabzi Mandi, Bara Hindu Rao and Sadar Bazar among others. North mayor Azad Singh, standing committee chairman Ram Kishan Singhal and leader of the House Mahender Nagpal made this announcement in a joint press conference organised at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukharji Civic Centre on Thursday.
