Motor Accident Claims Tribunal judge Sanjay Kumar Aggarwal directed Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company to pay Rs 30,80,047 as compensation to Vinod Kumar Aggarwal, a businessman from Paharganj.

Aggarwal said on April 1, 2010, he was hit by a motorcycle from behind on the Mayapuri flyover. He received grievous injuries, leading to paralysis affecting his legs and had to be admitted to the Indian Spinal Centre in Vasant Kunj. The court noted that the driver of the motorcycle that hit Aggarwal was driving in a rash and negligent manner; therefore, the insurance company must pay the compensation.
