Court rejects builder’s bail plea

A Delhi court on Thursday denied bail to builder Avdesh Mittal, 50, for allegedly using forged documents to pass a multi-storey commercial building, constructed with faulty material, as structurally safe in southeast Delhi’s Greater Kailash part I. HT reports.

A Delhi court on Thursday denied bail to builder Avdesh Mittal, 50, for allegedly using forged documents to pass a multi-storey commercial building, constructed with faulty material, as structurally safe in southeast Delhi’s Greater Kailash part I.

The police had arrested Mittal after an FIR was lodged against him in 2008.

The complainant’s counsel told the court that the accused was in the habit of forging documents and he acquired several safe construction certifications to shield his faulty construction.
