Motor Accident Tribunal judge Swarana Kanta Sharma said due to apathy of the departments concerned, the victim’s family has not received any compensation from the Blueline bus owner and the driver.

The court has sought clarification from DCP central district on conduct of erring ACP (traffic) and motor licensing officer (headquarter).

The insurance firm filed a revision petition in court against the compensation to Ajay Kumar Tiwari’s family, as a Blueline bus driven by Sabhajit in June 2006 killed him. It contended that the driver was driving without a valid license.

The judge said the driver was driving the vehicle despite causing two deaths in two separate accidents. The court observed that due to lack of diligence of various departments, the license of the accused driver was neither forfeited nor the driver was called upon to surrender the same.
