Prime Minister Manmohan Singh passed the instructions at Cabinet meeting on Thursday that was given a presentation by the Home Minister Shivraj Patil.
Singh had asked Patil to brief the Cabinet on the flood situation after his visits to Bihar and Assam this week. Patil told the Cabinet that state governments had reported damage evacuation of 11 lakh people. The number of people affected is 331 lakh.
The Centre has released funds under the Calamity Relief Fund to all except four states that have not given the utilisation certificate for central funds given later year.
