Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit tonight hosted a dinner for delegates of the Commonwealth Games Federation who are here to inspect venues and facilities for the 2010 edition of the sports extravaganza.
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit tonight hosted a dinner for delegates of the Commonwealth Games Federation who are here to inspect venues and facilities for the 2010 edition of the sports extravaganza.
Almost all delegates including CGF president Michael Fennell and Secretary General Louise Martin attended the dinner where Dikshit informed them about her Government's preparation for the big event.
Several officials of the Commonwealth Games Organising Committee were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, the delegates inspected various venues and facilities including the Games Village and the Thyagraj Sports Complex.
The CGF assembly meeting will be held here on October 12 amid mounting fears that the Games in Delhi might be a partial failure due to the tardy pace of preparations, about which even Fennell has expressed concerns.
Dikshit is also facing criticism for slow pace of various infrastructure projects related to the prestigious event.
