Delhi cops injured in encounter undergo treatment

Doctors attending Sharma, an Inspector with the Delhi Police's Special Cell, refused to comment on his condition saying the surgery is yet to be over.

A constable of the cell, 40-year old Balwant, who recieved bullet injuiries in the arm has been admitted to the trauma centre in All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Doctors said his condition is stable and will under go surgery soon.

"The condition of Balwant is stable. He has a bullet wound in the right arm. We are going to start the operation soon. We are also seeing if the shot has fractured any of his bone or has hit some important nerve," Assistant Professor of Surgery in AIIMS, Sushma Sagar, said.

She confirmed that two bodies were also brought to the hospital.
