Delhi: Foundation of police housing complex laid

Lieutenant Governor Tejendra Khanna on Monday inaugurated India’s largest public-private partnership (PPP) housing project worth Rs 1,800 crore for Delhi police officers on the outskirts of the national Capital.

Lieutenant Governor Tejendra Khanna on Monday inaugurated India’s largest public-private partnership (PPP) housing project worth Rs 1,800 crore for Delhi police officers on the outskirts of the National Capital.

“With a total of 5,202 flats, three kinds of housing units will be constructed under this project which has its maximum construction time limit of around 885 days. The well-known multinational company, M/s Punj Lloyd, will construct the quarters and also maintain them for 25 years,” said Khanna at the foundation-laying ceremony of the project.

Located in north-west Delhi’s Dheerpur, the 60-acre land will house 5,202 units (ground plus 12 floors with lift facilities) with three types of quarters.
