Delhi to remain hot, but light rains expected

The national capital will remain hot on Friday, but light showers are expected towards the evening, the met office said.

"Delhi will experience partly cloudy sky with the possibility of dust and thunderstorm followed by light rains in some areas," the IMD official said.

The city recorded a minimum temperature of 28.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above average for this time of the season.

The maximum humidity touched 37 percent while the lowest was recorded at 29 percent.

The city has so far received 176.4 mm of rain - 91 percent more than the average.
