Delhiites wake up to a pleasant sunday

The morning hours saw fog in most parts of the city. Visibility at the Indira Gandhi International Airport had dropped to 300 metres till 7.30 am. However, it later cleared to make way for the sun.

The mercury peaked to 21.9 degree Celsius, two degrees below normal. On Saturday, the maximum temperature was 21.3 degree Celsius.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 8.5 degrees Celsius, which is a degree above the normal for this time of the year and a good 1.5 degrees more than Saturday’s minimum of 7.0 degrees.

The temperatures are expected to remain at similar levels tomorrow, with weather officials forecasting a maximum and minimum of 22.0 Celcius and 7.0 degrees Celcius respectively.

The met department has predicted similar weather conditions on Monday, too.

The weatherman says Monday is expected to commence with mist and shallow fog in the morning, followed by mainly clear skies during the day.

The average minimum temperature in Delhi for the month of December is 8.2 degree Celcius and the maximum is 23 degree Celcius.
