The incident was reported on December 8 when two couriers were robbed, on their way to a bank in Karol Bagh area to deposit cash.

"We received a tip off that Lal is involved in the robbery and apprehended him," Ashok Chand, deputy commissioner of police (crime), said.

Lal told police that he had provided information about the transfer of the money through the courier boys to Pappi, Rehan and Ramesh. Subsequently a raid was conducted and Kaushal Pappi (29) was arrested.

"We recovered R1.80 lakh from them and stolen diamond jewellery. Lal had received R1.50 lakh for providing the information. Rehan and Ramesh are absconding," Chand said.
